When he picks up them up, tell him the color of each ring. He will find it easier to take the rings off the pole than put them on, so he may simply tip the pole upside down. Let him play freely and then show him how it’s done, helping to build his problem solving skills. You can get ring stackers that have rings of increasing size, and when your baby is older he will learn to stack from the largest to smallest, ensuring you have a great game for years to come. If you can’t find a toy ring stacker, you can use a paper towel cardboard roll, and make rings from loops of thin card.
