- You can give him a toy telephone to play with but he is likely to want to act just like a grown up and use the real thing.
- Turn his curiosity into a learning game. Let him pick up the receiver and talk into the telephone.
- Ask him who is he talking to, where are they, and what are they saying. He will love feeling special by having his very own conversation.
- You can even ring the telephone so he can pick it up, helping him to learn about cause and effect, or simply make the sound of the telephone and play an imaginary game.
- If you are away from home don’t forget to call your toddler so he can hear your voice; you won’t be able to have a long conversation but he can still feel close to you and enjoy using the telephone just like grown ups do.
Be aware that there have not been enough studies to justify the safety of young children using or playing with mobile phones. Naturally, your toddler will be curious wanting to play with or mouth your mobile phone and may even throw a tantrum if you don’t let him have it. A good alternative is a toy telephone that is the size of a mobile phone and makes noise or talks when your child presses the number pads.

Mase tuh singgah solat Asar di masjid then biase la ummi n abi solat ikut turn ;-) pastu Tasnim dgn gayenye yg tersendiri bercakap di telefon...hehe kelako tgk! Pandai ye anak ummi n abi meniru aksi org dewasa...hmm tiru yg baik² aje ye sayang...!! Sejak dr tuh, pantang nampak hp terus ke telinge...pastu pandai jgk nak bezakan antara hp, remote tv n remote fan- dpt hp letak di telinge, dpt remote tv tekan² hentam keromo sambil mata tgk kat tv, dpt remote fan tekan² sambil kepala dongak ke atas....hmm eksperimen la tuh!! Tp bile dpt remote aircond...hmm]
